Embryo Freezing

Fertility Package

Embryo Freezing

Embryo freezing involves the process of freezing a couple's embryos, which are then stored in liquid nitrogen at very low temperatures for future use. This helps preserve embryo viability so they remain healthy and functional for years to come in order to achieve pregnancy at a later stage of life.

Short-term embryo freezing stores embryos for up to a maximum of 3 months. This package is usually recommended for patients who want to freeze additional embryos for a short period, including couples who have already attempted a fresh transfer and are planning a frozen transfer within 3 months, or couples who want to freeze additional embryos from IVF or ICSI treatment that are not included in their treatment package.

Long-term embryo freezing stores embryos for up to a maximum of 1 year. This package is often selected by patients who want to preserve fertility for a longer period because of lifestyle changes, medical or surgical reasons, cancer treatment, or similar circumstances.

Inclusions include freezing of up to 2 embryos, media and consumable charges, laboratory charges, hospital charges, and a detailed report showing embryo storage details.

IVF, ICSI, PICSI package fees, drugs and laboratory investigations are not included because they vary from patient to patient. The clinic takes a personalised approach and gives patients flexibility to complete laboratory investigations with another registered diagnostic laboratory when financially feasible.

Patients should note that renewable charges apply at the end of storage terms. Renewable charges are based on the long-term package rate for storage up to 1 year.
